It's a big, beautiful, Brazilian bromeliad! Plants fruit from seed in 3years. Fruit is very sweet like syrup or pure necter. There is no irritating stinging such that is present in some other bromeliad fruits. Plant thrives in part shade. It's a terrestrial bromeliad so it will grow well in ground like pineapples but I imagine it would make a large attractive epiphyte as well (growing up in a tree.) Hardy to at least 25F degrees.
